VANE. Collins shews that the two peerage families of Vane and Fane are of the same origin. See Fane. The arms consist of the same tinctures and charges, viz. : — Azitre, three gauntlets, <?•, but the gauntlets of the Vanes are for the left hand, while those of the Fanes are dexter or right hand cues.
