Patronymica Britannica (1860)

TYACKE. A Cornish family of considerable antiquity, who had lauded property at an early period in that county. In tlie Visitation of Cornwall, 15T3, the name is variously written Tyacke, Tyack, and Teacke. It is conjecturally derived from the Celtic tiah, tiac, a ploughman.
