REYNER. Mr. Fergusonsays :— " This is the same name as that of the famous Northern sea-king, Raguar Lodbrok, who ravaged England in the ninth century, aud, being taken prisoner by Ella, king of Northumberland, was, as the legend goes, stung to death in a dungeon filled with serpents."
