Patronymica Britannica (1860)

LAFOREY. La Foret— Forest. John Laforey, only son and heir of Louis Laforey, and nephew of the Marquis de la Foret of the province of Poitou, came mto England with King William III. and was made governor of Pendenuis Castle, co Cornwall. His son was created a baronet.
