FEARON. Feron, anciently Le Feron, Le Feyron, (H.R.) A name still well known in Noi-mandy: derived by M. de Geiwille from the same source as Ferrier — viz., from fcr,fcrri(m — a worker in iron. Mem. Soc. Ant. Norm., IS-t-l. There are horse-shoes in the arms of one family of this name.
